All pets are unique and trying to predict the behaviour or personality of one breed over another is difficult and unreliable. That is why laws intended to brand certain breeds of dogs as dangerous (such as pit bull terriers) are as unreasonable and invalid as racial profiling and cultural stereotyping.
~Dr Bernhard Pukay
On Dec 22,1987 the father(An Ont MPP) of our present Premier (who is presently in the business of slaughtering pit bull terriers) stated(on record) that the family dog was a pit bull terrier.
***There is speculation from some corners that this is not an actual petition. Of course I don`t imagine anyone can put their hands on this paper,especially since the passing of Bill 132. If it hadn`t gone missing before 2005,it would more than likely go missing after 2005. It would be impossible(let`s hope) to wipe the official Hansard record. If the Ontario Liberals could wipe this,it would be wiped. I do believe that this is an actual petition by the elder McGuinty. I do believe that the McGuinty family had a pit bull terrier. The younger McGuinty is certainly not going to admit that.
The public can reach their own conclusions after reading the official Hansard record. I believe the official Gov`t record speaks for itself. Sometimes when you try to be cute,the official record can come back to bite ya(or your kid)21 years later!
The McGuinty Family Pit Bull Terrier named Tory
(I have requested a photo of the McGuinty pit bull terrier)
If that`s not forthcoming,perhaps a Forensic Artist could render a "substantially similar"(or NOT) picture of Tory.
Hansard: Substantially verbatim transcripts of proceedings in the Legislative Assembly since 1984. Typically available online within a few hours of adjournment each day.(From the Gov`t website)
Mr. McGuinty: I have a petition dated December 22, 1987.
"To the Honourable the Lieutenant Governor and the Legislative Assembly of Ontario:
"We, the undersigned, beg leave to petition the parliament of Ontario as follows:
"Whereas the Christmas-Hanukkah season is traditionally a time for family;
"And whereas members of this Legislature who are from distant places are subject to the vagaries of travel which could occasion considerable time;
"And whereas the legislative support staff are subject to the same;
"And whereas the following people are particularly anxious to see the Legislature adjourn, namely, the following constituents of Ottawa South:
"Elizabeth McGuinty, Mrs. Dalton McGuinty I, Jocelyn Mary McGuinty, Liseanne Mary McGuinty, Dalton J. Patrick McGuinty, Jr., Dylan Charles McGuinty, Patrick John McGuinty XXIII, David Joseph McGuinty, Michael Terence Thomas Moore McGuinty, Brendan Paul McGuinty VI, Anne Marie McGuinty, Teresa McGuinty, Marie Angela McGuinty, Noralyn McGuinty, Connor Joseph McGuinty, Carleen Mary McGuinty, Dalton J. P. McGuinty III; Liam Brendan McGuinty, Matthew Carlos McGuinty, Caroline Nicole McGuinty, Gordon Patrick McGuinty, Lucille Mary McGuinty, Michael J. McGuinty-McKee," all of whom have duly signed. There is also a paw print on this paper of one Tory McGuinty,
who is the McGuinty family pit bull terrier.
I am also posing this petition on behalf of the family of the member for Algoma-Manitoulin (Mr. Brown): Mrs. Lynn Brown, Micki Brown, Amy Brown, Paula Brown and Jennifer Brown, all of whom are with us in the gallery.
"We, the undersigned, petition all members of the Legislature of Ontario to expedite adjournment of the Legislature at the earliest possible time."
Don`t assume your dog is or isn`t "Substantially Similar".
If your dog was born before Nov 27,2005,insist that the Ontario Liberal Gov`t designate your dog as "SS" or "NSS" AND put it in writing on their Letterhead
If they refuse to designate your dog,you will have the refusal in writing if you are charged for failing to comply.
If your dog was born after Nov 27,2005, Good Luck The Ontario Gov`t can seize ANY mutt/mix or other Pure Bred dog based on looks
